The people of Malawi are heavily reliant on agriculture in their everyday lives and new, low-tech innovation is working wonders in the country. In this video, learn how Concern Worldwide has helped develop sustainable agriculture practices to combat the devastating effects of climate change in Malawi.

Close to 80% of the population in Malawi works in farming. Maize, by far the most widely grown crop, is particularly susceptible to climate change and catastrophic weather events such as Cyclone Idai, which struck in March 2019.

Now, something wonderful is happening, as field schools for Conservation Agriculture start to pop up across the country.

Accenture has funded Concern's CA program for the past 7 years, noting a vast improvement in the lives of those farmers who have seen their harvest thrive as a result of the effects of sustainable farming. This is their story.

How can you help? You can help bring tangible and lasting change to people already experiencing the effects of climate change on agriculture. Every dollar counts.
